PICT - amdocs Innovation Laboratory is one of its kind endeavors undertaken by PICT and Amdocs. It was inaugurated on 13th September 2008 with the intention of planting the seeds of Innovation in the minds of PICT students. The basic motive behind it was to encourage 'out of the box' thinking and help transform innovative ideas into actual implementation. This lab is one of the milestones achieved towards its promising Industry-Institute Interaction future by PICT.

The process has 3 phases: |
Ideation |
Implementation |
Presentating Deliverables |
| In Ideation phase, ideas from PICT students and amdocs are considered and each idea being evaluated on the basis of Scope & Objective, Business Value / Relevance, Technology Mapping, Complexity / Implementation Challenges. |
PROCESS |
Implementation phase is generally carried out using Open Source technologies like LAMP framework and Java variants. This opens up the students to real-world challenges while implementing the project in the Open Source world. Lastly, the student groups have to present the implemented ideas or demonstration to amdocs Innovation board and PICT management. This laboratory has a working team of 6 students per batch and 2 mentors from PICT and Amdocs each. |
