BACKGROUND
 
PICT’s Bachelor of Engineering program in Electronics & Telecommunications commenced in 1995 with an intake of 60 students. The first batch passed out in 1999, with good placement in reputed industries.
The department has nine well equipped laboratories namely :- Electronics Circuit Lab , Microprocessor Lab,
Communication Lab, VLSI Lab, DSP Lab, Elecronic Design Lab, Analog / Digital Electronics Lab,
Electronics Lab, Control System Lab.

The department won the “Best Department Award” of 2003 and 2004 and offers a course in VLSI design at final year studies with well equipped VLSI laboratory. The department also has a well furnished DSP lab with about 25 Texas & Motorola experimental kits.

  • July 2006

    Mr.S.S.Dudam attended a one-day workshop on “VLSI Design-syllabus exploration “on 11th July 2006 organized by SCOE, pune.

    Mr.S.K.Moon presented a paper on “Application of stenography in Image file” presented in National conference on RTEIT06 at SRES COE, Kopergaon, on 28th –29th July 2006.

    Mr. P.S.Varade presented a paper on “Discrete multitone modulation for high speed data transmission” presented in National conference on RTEIT06 at SRES COE, Kopergaon, on 28th –29th July 2006.

    Mr.S.S.Dudam and Mr.D.M.Mankar attended a one-day workshop “VLSI Design Tolls” on 29th July 206 organized by SCOE,pune.

    Department had organized Technical seminar on “Cognitive wireless communication”, on 31st July 2006.The guest speaker was Dr.Ashish Pandharipande, senior Research scientist, Philips.

    Prof.Deo V.Y attended a workshop on “Embedded system design syllabus exploration organized by SKNCOE,pune.

    Following staff member of the departments participated in one –day work shop on “Teaching methodologies” for BE (E&TC/Elex) syllabus, Term-I workshop held by BOS-university of pune at VPCOE, Baramati. Details are as under –

    E&Tc departments had organized one-day industrial visit for B.E(E& TC)students on 18th September 2006 at Telephone xchange,Dhankawadi,pune.

    E&Tc departments had organized Technical seminar on “Data acquisition system uses LAB view” in association with vidisha Innovative solution, Which also includes demonstration of temperature controller, on 23rd September 2006

    E&Tc departments had organized one –day work shop on “Teaching methodologies” for BE (E&TC/Elex)2003 courses-II on 25th September 2006.

    E&Tc departments had organized one –day workshop on “Microwave engineering” in association with the scientific Instrument Pvt Ltd, on 26th September 2006.

    E&Tc departments had organized one-day workshop on “VLSI backend design software” in association with Ni2 designs Pvt. Ltd.,pune.Which includes theory and practical session for B.E(E&TC) students on 6th October 2006.
